Drupal Camp Asheville 2026

Drupal Camp Asheville

Drupal Camp Asheville is an annual community camp set in the Blue Ridge mountains, and I'm excited to be presenting at this year's event.

My session, "Bringing Clarity to Complex Drupal Sites with the Audit Export Module," focuses on the questions that come up during redesigns, migrations, and inherited projects: what's actually on this site, what's still in use, and where is this configured?

Drupal sites rarely stay simple for long. Content types, fields, roles, and menus accumulate over time, often added by different teams with different priorities. Audit Export provides a clear, repeatable way to understand what you're working with.

In the session, I'll cover running the built-in reports from the admin UI, scheduling audits to run regularly, exporting results to CSV, and using Drush commands to integrate audits into discovery and maintenance workflows. I'll also touch on the Audit Export Tool submodule, which exposes audits through Drupal's Tool API for integration with external tools, including AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude.

If you're managing complex Drupal sites or preparing for a major project, this session will give you practical techniques you can use immediately.

The camp runs July 10-12, 2026, at the UNC Asheville Highsmith Student Union. Two days of training and sessions, followed by a bonus community day spent in nature. Registration is open now.
